Petrochemical Organisation EV Charging Upgrade

ParkLaine partnered with a Private Global Petrochemical Organisation to enhance the EV charging facilities at the Milton Hill Business & Technology Centre. The project focused on upgrading the existing EV charging parking bays with high-performance anti-slip surfacing to improve safety, durability, and visual identification.

Working within a live operational car park environment, ParkLaine successfully delivered the works with minimal disruption to daily site operations while maintaining strict health & safety standards throughout the project.

The Brief

The client required an upgrade to the existing EV charging parking bays to improve both functionality and user safety. The brief called for a durable, anti-slip painted finish that would clearly identify the EV charging zones while providing enhanced slip resistance and long-term performance in a high-traffic external environment.

The solution also needed to deliver excellent UV resistance, durability against vehicle traffic, and a clean professional appearance aligned with the wider site infrastructure improvements.

The Solution

ParkLaine delivered a specialist EV bay enhancement solution across 12 dedicated charging bays using a heavy-duty anti-slip asphalt coating in a mid-green finish. The specialist surfacing system incorporated a pre-blended aggregate, providing a durable textured anti-slip surface designed specifically for high-use external environments.

The upgraded coating system delivered improved safety, enhanced visibility, and long-term durability while also offering strong UV resistance to minimise fading over time. The finished bays created a clean, modern, and highly visible EV charging area that supports the client’s continued investment in sustainable transport infrastructure.

Despite the fast-track programme, ParkLaine completed the project efficiently and to the highest standards, delivering a robust and visually impactful enhancement to the site’s external facilities.
