Aptamer Group needed a workspace and lab environment that could support their proprietary Optimer® technology and life‑science operations across therapeutics, diagnostics, bioprocessing and research. The brief required the creation of fit‑out works for controlled‑environment labs (CL1/CL2) along with modern office spaces and collaborative zones. The design had to cater for current operations but also allow for future growth and adaptability, as well as deliver a high‑quality, functional workplace. With a tight 15‑week delivery timeframe, the project demanded efficient planning and execution.

ParkLaine delivered a turnkey design-and-build solution, transforming the site at York Science Park into a highly functional and future‑ready workplace for Aptamer Group Plc. The fit‑out encompassed CL1 and CL2 wet-lab facilities alongside open-plan and private office areas, meeting rooms, and breakout spaces across three floors. The laboratories were fully equipped to support complex life-science workflows, while the office and collaborative spaces were designed to promote interaction, flexibility, and scalability as the company continues to grow internationally.
