Oxford Biodynamics Plc required a modern, high-performance facility to support the expansion of its biomarker research and development operations. The brief called for a complete laboratory fit-out and refurbishment, alongside office and collaborative spaces, all within a tight 20-week schedule. 

The facility needed to meet stringent regulatory and safety standards while incorporating complex mechanical and electrical systems, controlled environments, and energy-efficient design. Flexibility and scalability were key, allowing the laboratory and office areas to adapt as the company grows and as new technologies are introduced. ParkLaine was tasked with delivering a fully compliant, future-proofed, and inspiring workplace that would empower the team and support the company’s innovative research programs.

ParkLaine delivered a turnkey design and build solution, transforming Oxford Biodynamics’ facility into a high-performance, future-ready workspace. The project included CL2 Wet Labs, PCR Labs, Robotic Labs, alongside open-plan and private offices, canteen facilities, and a wellbeing area.

We integrated complex mechanical and electrical systems, including new HVAC systems and a backup generator to ensure uninterrupted power. The laboratories were fitted with new benching and storage solutions and IPS stations with eye wash facilities, alongside controlled environments and specialist equipment, all meeting strict regulatory and safety standards.

Energy-efficient systems and sustainable design principles were applied throughout, creating an environmentally responsible, cost-effective facility. Despite a tight 20-week schedule, ParkLaine delivered the project on time, on budget, and to the highest standards, providing Oxford Biodynamics with a compliant, adaptable, and inspiring environment that supports cutting-edge research and future growth.
