The Brief

The client required a fully compliant CL2 laboratory environment including insectary suites, molecular research labs and R&D support spaces to support their ongoing global expansion. The brief called for integration of advanced environmental controls, secure containment systems, specialist furniture and equipment supports, plus associated office and breakout areas, all within a 20‑week timeframe. Flexibility, scalability and compliance were essential to allow for future growth, enabling the organisation to extend their research footprint and adopt emerging technologies across multiple regions. ParkLaine was engaged to deliver a fully managed solution that would enable the client’s mission‑critical work to proceed in a controlled and optimized workspace.

We have recently completed a five-month fit-out of a new R&D laboratory space at our UK headquarters in Oxfordshire. It was a multi-million-pound project, including the installation of complex heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems for the state-of-the-art laboratories. The team at ParkLaine were brilliant throughout, taking our initial concepts and providing 3D renders, and a detailed proposal, and then turning them into reality. The project was complex, involving multiple skilled trades and specialists, yet it was completed on time and to a very high standard with minimal snags which were quickly rectified.
